Breakfast

At the Skanzen Hotel we offer a delicious and generous breakfast buffet from 7:30 to 10:00 am, on request and for an extra charge.

A taste of our breakfast menu:

• traditional white bread, potato bread and brown bread (Gluten-free bakery products are also available on request.)
• traditional bread, croissants, bread rolls, sweet and savoury pastries
• cereals, muesli
• natural and fruit yogurts
• cooked sausages with mustard, horseradish and kechup
• various cold cuts, cheeses, spreads, jams
• fresh vegetables, fruits
• butter, margarine
• Dallmayer hot drinks: tea, cocoa, various types of coffee
• milk (including lactose-free versions) and vegetable milk
• cold drinks: juices, mineral water

We will endeavour to cater for any special dietary or dietary requirements that may arise - to ensure this, please check with us prior to arrival at the hotel!

Our meals may contain traces of allergens in addition to those indicated as ingredients.

Full or half board

On request, for groups and for an extra charge, full or half board is also available at the Skanzen Hotel, which our guests can enjoy in the adjacent Skanzen Restaurant.

For groups, we can also provide 1, 2 or 3-course main meals, served or buffet style.

The Skanzen Restaurant

The Skanzen Restaurant is located cca. 10 minutes walking distance from the Skanzen Hotel. It offers delicious dishes with a more traditional flavor, prepared with classic, quality ingredients, in a pleasant environment. When the weather is fine, our guests can enjoy their lunch in the cozy garden room.

The Skanzen Restaurant provides an excellent venue for an increasing number of events, be it a wedding, corporate event, friends and family gathering, class outing or any other group need that includes dining.

With several rooms and varied menu offers, it serves the needs of visitors, companies and group bookings. In 2017, its “Kocsiszín” room took on a modern shape, and its capacity increased to 180 people. The “Kemencés” room, in a traditional folk romantic style, is open as a restaurant for 70 people.

Buffet

There is a 24-hour buffet at the hotel reception.

Korzó Cafe in the Skanzen

Guests of the Skanzen Hotel can eat and drink with 10% discount in Korzó Cafe if they stay at the hotel for minimum 2 nights - during the opening hours of the Museum (from April till the end of October). 

Korzó Café Opened in 2022, Korzó Kávéház offers a selection of traditional pastries, savoury and sweet pastries, and a variety of coffee and tea specialities. The Korzó Kávéház is one of the most impressive buildings of the new Transylvanian building complex of the Open Air Ethnographic Museum, where the elegant, century-old atmosphere and the peaceful café atmosphere will enchant everyone!
