About Skanzen

The mission of the Hungarian Open Air Museum is to research folk architecture, housing culture and lifestyle, to collect material and spiritual relics of the Hungarian-speaking world, to preserve this heritage and to publish the material of the collection in a wide range of ways, and to provide broad, participatory access to it.
